Some CBI Web How-To's

To view your CBI record or CBI reference materials, use any full-featured Web browser such as Netscape Navigator 2.0 or later or Internet Explorer 3.02 or later.

Optional units and many reference pages need a .pdf viewer. The Acrobat Reader .pdf viewer is installed on Micro Lab computers, or downloadable for free (but slowly). Open the file by clicking. You can print .pdf files by clicking on the print icon in the Acrobat pane.

CBI pre-tests require a more up-to-date browser, and only work from PC's, not Mac's. You must use Netscape 4.04 or later from a PC running Windows 95 or later. You can find appropriate PC's in the Micro Labs around campus.

Handy things you Browser can do for you:

To search any web page, hit <Ctrl-f> or use the Edit menu of your web browser.
To search a .pdf document, click on the binoculars icon in the Acrobat reader toolbar.

If the web page you're viewing seems out of date, click on Refresh (Internet Explorer) or Reload (Netscape). In extreme cases, you might need to hit <shift-Reload> in Netscape.
